Early summer, the season for harvesting wheat, called "bakushu (Muginoaki)".
"Autumn" in this case is not representative of the season, it is the fall of rice harvest and means "at the time of harvest". The wheat is harvest from late may to early June. In Japan, double cropping has been practiced since ancient times to grow wheat as a back of rice.
